Friday Dec 23, 2022
"Say Aye" is a tribute to Jim Strasman and his architectural firm SAI, Strasman Architects Incorporated, which was recently awarded a major design contract. Growing up with a father as an architect, I have some experience with the joy and euphoria that wraps contract awards like this, especially during Winter's Holiday Season.

My Dear Susie Clemens
Thursday Dec 22, 2022
Thursday Dec 22, 2022
A Homespinner messaged me and asked Hey Tommy– why don’t you tell us a Christmas story – maybe one we haven’t heard … Well here goes
There are classic Christmas stories like “Twas the Night Before Christmas” written by Clement C. Moore in 1822 and “Christmas Carol” written by Charles Dickens in December 1843.
Perhaps lesser known is a letter that Mark Twain wrote in 1875 in response to his daughter Susie, who at 3 years old, had written her first letter to Santa Claus. And being a writer, Twain couldn't stand for his young daughter to feel that her letter went unheard, so he penned the letter recorded in this podcast entitled My Dear Susie Clemens.

Celebrating The Winter Solstice 4:48 pm December 21, 2022
Winter Solstice 2022 in the Northern Hemisphere will be at 4:48pm Eastern Standard time on Wednesday, December 21, marking the first day of winter.
The power of the solstice
Latin, solstice is made of two words: sol– meaning “the sun” and sistere meaning “to make stand.” Winter Solstice is one the most powerful points of the year … the axis of the Earth pauses in orbit, shifts and begins to move in the opposite direction. It can be a time to rest and reflect, and so we have rested and reflected.

Christmas Stories for Adults

Tuesday Dec 20, 2022
Realized just the other day that there had been very little laughter in life for several years now. Set out to remedy that and came up with this episode. If you are sensitive to adult jokes and making fun of Santa and Christmas then there are other episodes better suited.
Happy Holidays
